To date, 91 students graduated from Tawasol (from 2013 to 2020) and completed the elementary cycle; of which 40 students continued in middle public schools and have outstanding results. Moreover, many of Tawasol’s graduates come back to the school to help out with activities for their younger peers.
Since Tawasol opened the doors of the new community school in December 2020, children and young adults have been pouring in to enroll including children with special needs. In addition to free education and a weekly allowance, each Tawasol student receives school supplies and uniforms, health care, hot healthy meals, vocational training, performing arts training, access to sports facilities, a school library, a computer lab, and an arts room.
With all the services provided by Tawasol and the operational costs to keep the school running all year round (12 months), each Tawasol student costs around 500 EGP per week amounting to 2500 EGP per month, and up to 30,000 EGP per year.
Now that the new school is built with the generous support of several donors, foundations and individuals, our next challenge is to ensure the sustainability of the school and the potential of offering free quality education to more students from the surrounding local communities.
You can support Tawasol by :
- Buying one (or more) education stock(s) in the amount of 500 EGP, or
- Covering the monthly expenses in the amount of 2,500 EGP for one (or more) student(s), or
- Sponsoring one (or more) student(s) for a full year for 30,000 EGP.
